This type of
belt washer is the
ultimate washing/sanitising system for conveyor belts. The washing/sanitising
system is operated while the conveyor belt is in use and in motion that means no
ceasing of production to clean the conveyor belts. The system has a vacuum
facility to suction all waste (waste water and debris) for collection and
appropriate disposal. |

GENERAL
INFORMATION |
|
The “GIOVE
SYSTEM” is a fully automated system for sanitising all types of conveyor belts
that are in direct or indirect contact with foodstuffs. This system is suitable
for conveyor belts that are in continuous processing and production. |
| |
|
The ‘GIOVE
SYSTEM” ensures automatic continuous cleaning, sanitising, cooling and drying of
belts. |
| |
|
The system
consists of the following equipment: |

A “GIOVE” power
station for the management of steam, water and air; |
| |
|
 |
A Turbine to
keep low pressure in the circuit; |
| |
|
 |
A Control
cabinet for the management of all the automation devices; |
| |
|
 |
A Tank and a
pump for the recovery of the liquid waste water and organic substances which are
automatically discharged; |
| |
|
 |
A Belt washer
or Tunnel with pneumatic opening and closing. |
|
| |
|
The equipment
above can be designed to clean and sanitise one or more conveyor lines
separately or simultaneously. |
| |
|
In the event of
belt stopping or of alternate processing, the stopping and starting of the belt
washer occur automatically. Where there is non-stop processing no chemical
products are used. Through the patented system, the steam is not dispersed into
the environment and therefore this is no risk of altering the degree of humidity
and the temperature of the air. The safety of any person near the operating
Giove System is ensured. |

The Giove power
station can be fed by steam already existing in the plant or by a R.E.A steam
generator. |

Cleansing Stage
a mixture of water and steam at 73°C is used; |

It is possible
to manufacture belt washers with some variation according to customers’
requirements. |
| |
|
For instance,
a belt washer for an oven - where the conveyor belt can reach high
temperature, (170°C to 200°C) can be designed to carry out no cooling, but
rather a technical cleaning of the belt in order to avoid any contamination of
the product or any fouling of the conveying system rollers. |
| |
|
As regards the
conveyor belts that enter and exit cold store rooms, it is necessary to
have a conveyor belt washer that carries out the washing and the decontamination
of the belt, the returns the belt to the needed working temperature. |

WASHING AND
SANITISING TUNNELS |
|
Various types
of Washing and Sanitising Tunnels are custom designed to suit the Clients’
requirements. |
|
The tunnels are
designed to wash and sanitise baking trays, pans and tubs. |
|
The tunnels can
also be designed for the shrink packaging for meats and smallgoods |
|
